The University of Aarhus, with 34,000 students, 9,000 employees, and a total of 334,000 m2 of floor space, is the second largest university in Denmark. Aarhus turned to TAC for a solution to improve their building management and security systems. The contract, a 15-year framework agreement signed in October 2007, is the largest security and BMS integration project ever in Denmark. The project is currently being developed.
One of the highlighted security solutions that TAC developed for the University is a new intelligent chip card. The new card will function as a campus access and debit card, as well as an external ID card for staff members and an international ID card for visiting students.
Soren Harboe, Technical Manager for the University of Aarhus, states, "We chose TAC because the company is a market leader when it comes to integrating building technology."
